The reigning king of windows based PDA's took a big downturn when PDA devices went out of favour. HP made a comeback with Phone PDA's but has never really ignited the market.
With the 6965 they finally have a very exciting product after a very long time.
The design of this machine is still nothing to write home about. It's fairly big, wide and due to the keyboard in the front has a squarish screen. It feels heavy but is very well built. The plastic flip top is of a good material and locks in tight.
The keyboard is well executed, thumb typing is easy and the keys are spaced and shaped well. There is a rocker switch on the upper left hand side and a very solid stub stylus complete the outer features.
This is one of the first ever phones with five radio inside. Voice, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Data EDGE GPRS and of course the killer application GPS.
Overall, this has to be the most full featured phones in India today. It has the stamp of HP reliability and may well set the benchmark in terms of what it can do.
