Sony stops PS2 production? Is it because of PS4 ‘Orbis’ release?

From the day of launch to till date, the Sony’s Play station has crossed more than 151 million consoles, worldwide. The play station 3 actually crossed 70 million units worldwide. Mean while there are leaks that Sony has stopped producing PS2s’ in Japan, this year.

Is this because Sony is all set to release its next generation gaming console, the Play Station 4 a.k.a. Orbis. It is also said that the PS4 will have very powerful configuration with whooping 16 GB of RAM. In addition, it is also said that the new PS4 will have new user interface.
